This podcast is dedicated to growing a safe community of Christian women who encourage and build one another up! Lean in as I teach you practical strategies to navigate your high conflict divorce and show you ways to cope with your current situation, as well as prepare for your future personal relationships and finances. Hey y’all! I’m Heather Laughter, a wife, momma to 6, Jesus lover, and advocate at heart. I had my own traumatizing journey with a narcissistic sociopath and ended up in a family court system that was scary, confusing, and overwhelming. I was totally alone, hours from family and had no friends because I had been isolated from everyone. It took me about 7 times to actually leave my abuser for good. Eventually I began my work as a family law paralegal which allowed me to walk others through the same broken system while gaining valuable inside information. And now, God has led me to coach you, because I understand the pain, uncertainty, and struggles you are facing as a victim of high-conflict divorce. I want to share with you what I have learned about being part of a loving community, being resilient and finding true healing through Jesus after surviving an abusive relationship. If you are ready for valuable insights to the inner workings of the flawed divorce system, gain a healthy community of support and encouragement, and be equipped with healthy coping strategies with a Christian perspective that will give you the relief you are looking for, join me on this journey of healing, recovery, and faith. Together, we’ll navigate the challenges, find strength in our shared experiences, and emerge victorious, wearing God’s armor that empowers us to face life’s battles with resilience and grace. Welcome to a community where you are seen, heard, and supported. Put down your shame and take up your shield, it’s time for freedom!

In this 2 part series, today is a really tough one for me.
I open up my heart and share my journey marked by pain, adversity, and unimaginable trials.
My hope is that by me sharing my story of sexual abuse, growing up in poverty, and landing ignorantly in the middle of big time drug dealers will allow you to witness the resilience of the human spirit.
But the story doesn't end there.
I faced the shattering loss of close family members and the biological father of my children to suicide, only to end up in the middle of a domestic abuse situation.
Yet, in the midst of this darkness, a profound revelation emerged.
Through unwavering faith and sheer determination, I discovered a glimmer of hope—a beacon of light that guided my path out of the darkness. Join me for a testament to the transformative power of faith, resilience, and the unwavering love of God!

Bible Verses in This Episode:
Genesis 1:31”God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.”
Romans 1:29-31 “They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.”

Join me as I provide valuable insights and strategies for navigating these demanding circumstances and fostering healthier, more fulfilling relationships.🚨
Key Points: 🔐
- Identifying signs of a disappointing, difficult, or destructive marriage
- Exploring strategies for managing and improving your relationship
- Expert insights and strategies for couples facing challenges in their marriage
🙏🏻 Helpful Bible Verses for your study
Expectations for marriage 💍
Do not be sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler (1 Corinthians 5:11)
Speak only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs (Ephesians 4: 29)
Expect your husband to be considerate and respectful of you because God tells him to (1 Peter 3:7).
Be faithful to the wife (1 Timothy 3:2,12; Malachi 2:15)
Let your gentleness to be evident to all (Philippians 4: 5)
Be temperate and self-controlled (Titus 2: 2)
Love is doing what needs to be done in order for someone to have a chance to get closer to God and be the version of themselves that God made them to be.
When you put someone else’s needs first, it should be not what they think their needs are but, rather, what they actually need in order to be able to get closer to God and the version of themselves that God made them to be.
And what they need might not be what they want. And it might mean sacrificing what you’d hoped for in the relationship in order to do what’s right.
🗣️ Communicating expectations:
James 1:19 tells us, know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. The art of listening is often overlooked in marriage, but this can deepen your marriage.
